Week 3 Devlog


Week 3 Development:

Evan: This week, I focused on making a more playable prototype while also keeping the theme of "Time" in mind. I made a level using the UI I made last week, and also implementing the death barriers and obstacles that cause a game over. To complete the level, the player must survive for 60 seconds. The time remaining is displayed on a timer in the top left corner, this was done through scripts. I went through a few variations of the timer that ended up as non-functional. During the playtest, I found that most people wanted there to be more mechanics to the game as the player currently has only a small amount of control. We plan to add jumping at the minimum, and maybe some other options such as sliding etc.
